    Objectives

    1. Explain the basic principles and theory of IS/IT strategic planning, and the main techniques commonly used in the preparation of IS/IT  strategic plans;
    2. Describe the strengths and weaknesses of IS/IT planning theory and techniques in their application to real-life organizational practices;
    3. Analyze critically the suitability of the process and techniques being employed in the development of IS/IT strategic plans;
    4. Develop a critical awareness of the limitations of current practices in IS/IT strategic planning.
